# hi grandrew, many thanks for this very rare album. i like very much rudiger carl and here we have him in octet — called orchestra. i haven't yet heard this record but i do remember well, that sun ra could have really orchestral sound with 7-8 musicians without any problem. so i'm anxious to hear these recordings. best regards. coleman1
# hi 720808, many thanks for this very rare recording. i love joe mcphee, thought that i have all his records, but forgot about this one. finally will have opportunity to listen to it. joe mcphee is in my humble opinion the best living and active free jazz saxophonist. period. i consider his trio x as the best jazz combo of XXI century. best regards. coleman1

# hi archy, i listened in detail to both joe mcphee records — "angels, devils and haints" and "journey". both are outstanding ! "angels" is the direct tribute paid to albert ayler and his achievements in jazz. however in my opinion "journey" is even a bit better. trio x is simply the best small jazz ensemble of the beginning of XXI century, and "journey" belongs to their best recordings. if somebody missed this fantastic band — this is the great opportunity to listen to trio x at their highest point. all fans of free jazz/jazz avant-garde should know both albums — "journey" and "angels". best regards. coleman1

# hi archy, again many many thanks for this fantastic and very rare post. i am listening just now to "angels, devils & haints" by joe mcphee and the music is really great. i know that "journey" is on the same level. thanks also for the beautiful scans. you probably noticed that it's very difficult to find any scans for cimp/cadence recordings, including of course trio x albums. if you are looking for any particular recordings — please let me know. i may be able to help you — especially regarding the older free jazz records. best regards. coleman1

# hi archy, i am grateful to you very much for this outstanding free jazz album. i will finally have the opportunity to listen to it for the first time. all the reviews were positively very good. i had rare opportunity to see joe mcphee live in concert just 3 months ago with peter brotzmann chicago tentet + 2 in poland and mcphee was in incredible form — both on alto and trumpet. best regards. coleman1
# hi archy, it's good to hear that you have almost all the mentioned albums. i am interested very much in any formats — mp3 is o.k. of course. by the way — i asked about 10 blog owners in the past 3-4 months for these trio x and joe mcphee albums — with no result. if you can post them at jazz-club — it would be the best i think. probably there will be much more people interested in hearing such an outstanding music. you can start with double cd — angels, devils & haints. many thanks in advance. best regards. coleman1 p.s. if you are looking for any other joe mcphee recordings — please let me know — i might have them...
